FOX Heads Back to 'Temptation Island' After going more than a year without self-sabotaging couples and gaggles of pretty single people trying to break them up, FOX has set a premiere date for a third edition of "Temptation Island."The latest edition of the unscripted series about tortured couples and the people who may or may not love them will premiere at 9 p.m. ET Thursday, Aug. 28. It will run for eight episodes, until FOX gives its schedule over to the major league baseball playoffs in early October. (Some episodes might run back-to-back so they all fit into the pre-baseball window.)As with the previous two editions of the show, four couples who've been dating for a while will spend two weeks on a tropical island -- in this case, the Caribbean's Bay Islands. They'll spend most of the apart from each other and in the company of 14 members of the opposite sex whose goal is to, as the title suggests, tempt them.The first "Temptation Island," which aired in the winter of 2001, scored solid ratings for FOX. The second, which was originally scheduled to premiere the week of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, was instead shuttled off to early 2002 and did rather poorly.Mark Walberg is returning as host of "TI3," which will face "CSI," the No. 1 show on TV, in its Thursday spot.
